Ballina Visitors Information Centre

The beach wheelchairs provide a unique opportunity for people with a disability or limited movement to experience the beach environment. The new beach wheelchairs were purchased in July 2012, and are specifically designed to access rough and sandy terrain with a light weight frame and modern, comfortable features. The current model of the All-Terrain Wheelchair is equipped with a removable foot rest to make transfers in and out of the chair a simple experience. Available for up to a week, the wheelchairs are free to hire. The chairs can be collected from the Ballina Visitor Information Centre on River Street, open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
